If you are GLBT or ally and live anywhere in Hawaii, please be advised that HB 908 -relating to civil unions has been introduced in the 2007 Legislature. This bill, while not "marriage" provides all of the equal benefits of marriage for gay and lesbian couples. Given 1998 Constitutional amendment defining marriage, it is the best our community can get at the moment. It is an important step toward equality and deserves your support.
Please contact your state representative and let them know you support this bill - HB908.
