Opening night, Friday April 7th will have a catered GALA dinner by Bentos & Banquets, an additional $20 on top of show ticket price. Reservations are required with payment. Set in darkest Victorian London, this melodic masterpiece tells the infamous tale of Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street, who forms an enterprising business relationship with Mrs. Lovett, the proprietress of the downstairs pie shop.
The main character, Sweeney Todd returns to London incognito after being arrested and convicted on false charges and sent to a prison colony. When he returns he learns that his wife is dead and his daughter Johanna is in the care of his sworn enemy, Judge Turpin. Bent on revenge, his thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful Mrs. Lovett of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe!
The razor sharp Sweeney Todd is musical theatre at its very best, full of spine-tingling wit, humor and tenderness with a knockout punch.
Runs Weekends (Friday thru Sunday) beginning April 7th thru April 30th.
